Find Help and Documentation

Quick Setup

Use Help → Search Help or the page Help link for documentation. This takes under 1 minute.

This guide helps you open Streamliner docs and support from inside the app. The Help Assistant may be disabled for your environment.

Help Assistant availability

The Help Assistant is off unless your environment enables it. When disabled, these entry points do not appear:

  • The floating chat bubble
  • Open Help Assistant in the Help menu
  • Help actions on onboarding step cards

Help → Search Help, page Help links, profile Documentation, and Contact Support remain available.

For deployment administrators

Set VITE_ENABLE_HELP_ASSISTANT to true before building the frontend to show the assistant. Leave it unset to keep the assistant hidden. Rebuild the frontend after changing this value.

Step-by-Step: Use the Help menu

  1. Select Help in the top navigation.

  2. Choose a guide, like Getting Started or Room Access.

    ✓ A new tab opens with the guide you picked.

  3. If Open Help Assistant appears, select it to start a chat.

    ✓ When enabled, the Help Assistant opens at the bottom-right.

  4. Select Contact Support to open an email draft.

    ✓ Your email app opens with support@vouch-technologies.com.


  1. Open a page like Settings → Essentials or Command Center.

  2. Select Help near the page header.

    ✓ A new tab opens with the matching guide.

You can find the page Help link on:

  • Onboarding
  • Settings → Essentials
  • Settings → Room Access
  • Access Codes
  • Reservations (Operations)
  • Command Center

Step-by-Step: Open documentation from the profile menu

  1. Select your Profile menu in the top-right corner.

  2. Select Documentation.

    ✓ A new tab opens with the Streamliner docs.


Step-by-Step: Open documentation from the Help Assistant

  1. Select the Help Assistant chat bubble in the bottom-right corner, if enabled.

  2. In the Help Assistant header, select Documentation.

    ✓ A new tab opens with the Streamliner docs.


Step-by-Step: Keep your Help Assistant chat history

  1. Open Help Assistant and send a question.

  2. Close the panel.

  3. Reopen Help Assistant on the same hotel.

    ✓ Your previous messages stay visible.

  4. Switch to another hotel and reopen Help Assistant.

    ✓ You see a separate chat for that hotel.

  5. Switch back to the first hotel and open Help Assistant again.

    ✓ Your earlier chat for that hotel returns.

Session behavior

Chat history stays for your current browser session. It resets after logout or when session data is cleared.


Troubleshooting

Help menu is missing

What you see: No Help button in the top navigation.

Fix:

  1. Refresh the page.
  2. Confirm you are signed in to Streamliner.
  3. Ask an admin to confirm you have access to the main app.

What you see: No Help link near the page header.

Fix:

  1. Confirm you are on one of the supported pages listed above.
  2. Refresh the page.
  3. Try again after you complete onboarding.

What you see: Nothing opens after clicking Documentation.

Fix:

  1. Allow pop-ups for the Streamliner app site.
  2. Select Documentation again.

Help Assistant button is missing

What you see: No chat bubble in the bottom-right corner.

Fix:

  1. Ask an AVA administrator whether your environment enables Help Assistant.
  2. If enabled, refresh the page and sign in again.
  3. If disabled, use Help → Search Help or Contact Support instead.

Previous Help Assistant messages are missing

What you see: The chat opens, but old messages are not there.

Fix:

  1. Confirm you are in the correct hotel in the top bar.
  2. Reopen Help Assistant.
  3. If needed, switch back to the hotel where you started that chat.
  4. If you logged out, start a new chat thread.

Still Stuck?

Contact support@vouch-technologies.com if:

  • ❌ The docs never open after allowing pop-ups
  • ❌ The Help Assistant stays missing after a refresh
  • ❌ You cannot access documentation during a live shift

  • Time the issue started
  • Device and browser type
