Manage Rate Plans

Quick Setup

Most hotels can create or review rate plans in about 10 minutes.

This guide helps you manage rate plans in Rates & Availability. Use it when you need to create pricing options, assign benefits, or map SiteMinder rate codes. Benefits now come from the Entitlements catalog or your PMS.

Visibility rules

You only see Rates & Availability when your PMS supports the calendar or rate plans. If only one tab appears, that is expected.

Furama iPMS rate plans

Furama rate plans appear as read-only catalog entries. Use Furama to create, edit, or delete those plans. AVA uses the plans when it quotes Furama stays.

Cloudbeds rate plans

Cloudbeds rate plans come from the PMS catalog. You can see supported list and management actions when your property has the matching capability. Creating a new Cloudbeds plan in AVA remains unavailable because a metadata-only plan cannot sell rooms.

Open Rate Plans

1. Go to Rates & Availability.

2. Select Rate Plans.

3. Review the list.

   ✓ You see Name, Room type, Base rate, Status, and any available actions.

If you're using Cloudbeds

1. Open Rates & Availability → Rate Plans.

2. Review the plan's Status before changing it.

3. Use Edit, Activate, Deactivate, or Delete only when AVA shows that action.

   ✓ The list refreshes after Cloudbeds confirms the catalog change.

Cloudbeds catalog plans and daily calendar rates use different identifiers. A plan can appear in the catalog without being usable for calendar edits.

Cloudbeds rate-plan fields

Cloudbeds controls which fields AVA can change. The form may hide Base rate and Currency when Cloudbeds owns those values.

1. Open New rate plan or Edit.

2. Enter the fields that AVA displays.

3. Select a specific Room type when the form requires one.

4. Leave PMS-owned fields unchanged.

5. Click Save.

   ✓ AVA sends only fields Cloudbeds allows for that operation.

Prices and sellable intervals appear in the Calendar after Cloudbeds publishes an actionable rate.

Create a Rate Plan

1. Click New rate plan.

2. Enter the Name.

3. Add an optional Description.

4. Enter the Base rate.

5. Check the Currency field.

   • It defaults to your hotel currency from Settings → Essentials.

6. Select a Room type if the plan should only apply to one type.

   • Leave it blank to apply the plan to all room types.

7. Turn on Active if guests can book it now.

8. Click Save.

   ✓ The new rate plan appears in the list.

Default currency

New rate plans prefill the currency from your hotel settings. Change it only when the plan uses another currency.

Edit or Delete a Rate Plan

1. Find the plan.

2. Click Edit or Delete.

3. Update the fields you need.

4. Click Save or confirm Delete.

   ✓ The list refreshes after the change.

System-managed plans

If a plan shows Room-type sync, it is read-only here. Edit the source room type instead.

Manage Benefits

1. Find the plan.

2. Click Manage benefits or View benefits.

3. Select benefits from the existing catalog.

4. Adjust quantities for each selected benefit.

5. Click Save assignments.

   ✓ Guests booked on that plan receive the selected benefits.

No benefits available

If the panel is empty, create benefits from Entitlements → Benefits or configure them in your PMS. Rate plans never create new benefit definitions directly. The drawer shows each benefit's allocation and accrual, but the timing still comes from the benefit itself.

Map SiteMinder Rate Codes

1. Set up SiteMinder in Settings → Essentials → Channel Manager Integration.

2. Save the Publisher ID and Hotel Code.

3. Return to Rates & Availability.

4. Click SiteMinder mapping for the plan.

5. Choose the external SiteMinder rate plan.

6. Click Map.

7. Use Unmap to remove a code.

   ✓ Mapped codes show in the table. ✓ Unmapped plans show Not mapped. ✓ Unmapped plans do not push rates to SiteMinder.

Troubleshooting

Rate Plans tab is missing

What you see: You only see Calendar, or AVA sends you back to the main page.

Fix:

1. Check whether your PMS supports rate-plan listing.
2. Refresh Rates & Availability.
3. Ask your AVA admin to confirm the feature is enabled.

New rate plan button is missing

What you see: You can view plans, but New rate plan is not available.

Fix:

1. Confirm you have Settings write access.
2. Check whether your PMS supports creating rate plans.
3. Use the read-only workflow if your vendor only exposes list access.

For Cloudbeds, New rate plan is intentionally unavailable. Create a sellable rate plan in Cloudbeds, then refresh AVA after it appears in the catalog.

Cloudbeds actions are missing

What you see: A Cloudbeds plan appears, but one or more actions are missing.

Why this happens: AVA shows each action only when the PMS capability is enabled and safe.

Fix:

1. Refresh Rates & Availability → Rate Plans.

2. Confirm you have permission to manage rate plans.

3. Ask your AVA administrator whether Cloudbeds rate-plan mutations are enabled.

4. Manage the plan in Cloudbeds if AVA does not show the required action.

   ✓ Missing actions do not mean the Cloudbeds plan is corrupted.

Cloudbeds fields are missing

What you see: The Cloudbeds form does not show Base rate, Currency, or All room types.

Why this happens: Cloudbeds owns those values for the selected operation.

Fix:

1. Complete the fields that remain visible.

2. Select the required Room type.

3. Save the plan.

4. Open Calendar after Cloudbeds publishes the actionable rate.

   ✓ Hidden fields are not missing data-entry steps.

A plan is read-only

What you see: A plan shows Room-type sync, and edit or delete actions are missing.

Fix:

1. Open the source room type in Settings → Essentials → Rooms.
2. Change the room type rate there.
3. Return to Rates & Availability and refresh.

SiteMinder mapping is missing

What you see: The SiteMinder column or drawer does not appear.

Fix:

1. Confirm SiteMinder is connected in Settings → Essentials → Channel Manager Integration.
2. Confirm the Publisher ID and Hotel Code are saved.
3. Refresh Rates & Availability.
4. Wait until your hotel receives SiteMinder rate-plan data.

No benefits appear

What you see: The benefits panel is empty.

Fix:

1. Create benefits in Entitlements → Benefits.
2. Or configure them in your PMS.
3. Open the plan again.
4. If the panel stays empty, your PMS may not support assignments.
