Set Up Facial Verification
Most hotels finish this in 5 minutes. Start with Require smile liveness, then set capture thresholds.
This guide helps you set facial checks, choose a capture flow, and tune Innovatrics camera thresholds.
If a document shows more than one face, AVA checks the clearest face first. Low-confidence faces stay available as fallback candidates.
Quick Reference
| Setting | What It Controls | Outcome |
|---|---|---|
| ID Scan | Allows facial verification to run | Keep it on for check-in identity checks |

| Require smile liveness | Chooses smile capture or selfie capture | On uses smile capture. Off uses selfie capture |
| Advanced camera thresholds | Fine-tunes capture quality by device | Leave fields blank to use Innovatrics defaults |
| Binary Mode | One pass/fail threshold | Faster decisions, less staff review |
| Three-State Mode | Pass, uncertain, fail thresholds | Staff can review uncertain matches |
